???? Reflections on Speaking at FutureGPT x Flipkart Meetup

Last week, I had the opportunity to speak at the FutureGPT x Flipkart event, and what a refreshing experience it turned out to be.

Thanks for Sanjeev Kumar Jaiswal and Pranjali Garg – Personal Branding Strategist for organising this event and being great hosts.

Rather than delivering a one-way talk, I chose to keep the session interactive. My topic, “Leveraging AI for Intelligent Identity Threat Detection and Access Management,” sparked meaningful discussion; not just around tools, but around the mindset shift identity professionals must embrace in the age of AI.

I’ve witnessed the evolution of IAM from static access lists to today’s dynamic, AI-enhanced control models; and I’ve had the chance to contribute to that transformation firsthand. Today, identity is the control plane. That’s why the next frontier is about making IAM intelligent, adaptive, and self-correcting.

During the session, we explored:
• Behavioral Anomaly Detection – Using AI to flag unusual login behavior based on geolocation, time of access, device type, and behavioral patterns.
• Just-In-Time & Adaptive Access Controls – Minimizing standing privileges and granting access dynamically, based on user activity and contextual risk scoring.
• Synthetic Identity & Deepfake Threats – Exploring real-world cases and how AI can identify fake personas and impersonation attempts before damage is done
• Interactive Threat Scenarios – Using live examples and audience questions to demonstrate how AI-powered IAM responds to identity-based attacks in real-time.

What stood out to me was the curiosity and energy in the room, across technologists, security leaders, and innovators alike. Many are asking the same critical question:

“How do we make identity not just secure, but intelligent enough to keep pace with both users and adversaries?”

The engagement reminded me why I love what I do. IAM is no longer just an IT function; it’s the core of trust in today’s digital enterprise. And with AI, we have an opportunity to design systems that are both resilient and responsive.

A big thanks to the teams at #FutureGPT and #Flipkart for hosting such a forward-thinking event. The future of identity isn’t just about better controls, it’s about better conversations, better architecture, and smarter defences.
Looking forward to continuing the dialogue with this brilliant community.
